Snow in Love | Big Cottonwood Canyon

If you know me at all, you know I’m totally not a winter person! I hate being cold!! If only you all could have seen the amount of layers I wore for this shoot + a full on snow suit..haha!! I wasn’t messing around 😉 Although I’m not a fan of the season because of it’s temperatures, I am a fan of how pretty it can be! The big tall pines covered in snow are so majestic and picturesque!! We started the session with Amanda and Jess up Big Cottonwood Canyon at Jordan Pines, and it was literally like 7 degrees!!! Amanda was the biggest trooper for modeling, even though she literally couldn’t feel her fingers!! I felt so bad, but you have to admit she looks like the prettiest snow queen there ever was!! Amanda and Jess have been married for two years, and they met on an almost blind date – I say almost, because apparently Jess had stalked Amanda on Facebook, and asked their mutual friend to set them up. How cute is that?! I don’t blame him, because Amanda is a total babe!! After about 20 minutes in the freezing cold, we decided to take the session down to Sugarhouse park, where it was quite a bit warmer – like 28 degrees lol! We got the most amazing golden light coming through the trees to finish off the session, and that made me oh so happy!! Golden light is my jam!! And now for a million pretty photos because I just couldn’t narrow them down, whoops.
