Marissa is such a darling young lady!! I loved getting to chat with her about high school – what she’ll miss, what she can’t wait to leave behind, and all her plans for the future! It is such a crazy time for the class of 2020 – finishing out high school without all the typical things. There isn’t a prom, there is no yearbook signing, and there isn’t a big graduation party with their entire class.

Instead of dwelling on all the things the class of 2020 is missing out on, let’s appreciate the fact that you can always take senior photos! I am so glad we were able to take these photos, so Marissa (and her parents) can remember such a special time. And of course, senior photos are soooo much better than years past. I swear kids these days don’t even go through awkward phases anymore! Marissa is just so stunning, so sweet, and I can tell she has a great future ahead of her!

This session was shot at the beginning of April, and I made sure to keep my distance. I was using a 70-200mm lens for this entire shoot, and it was actually so challenging! I am used to helping my clients fix their hair or positioning them, and it really pushed me to get better at verbal cues! Despite that, we got so many good shots, and I’m just in love with Marissa’s style and the outfits she chose for her session! How fun is her dress that shines gold, pink, and blue?! Those are 3 of my favorite colors!

Congrats Marissa, and all the others graduating in 2020! If you can survive a pandemic, you can survive anything 😉
