Rachel and Micah became husband and wife on Saturday September 7th, and it was a day to remember! Their backyard wedding was held at a private residence in Highland, Utah, and it was just breathtaking! The backyard was plucked right out of a fairy tale! Picture this – a waterfall flowing into a pond, with a wrought iron gazebo perched in the backdrop. Little magical pathways all over, lit by string lights. And my favorite, a great big, weeping willow tree! Totally a picture perfect place to get married!

During their wedding ceremony, the couple decided to do a foot washing ceremony. It was my first time ever photographing a foot washing ritual, and it was so beautiful! What a sweet reminder that marriage is all about serving your spouse. As Rachel and Micah washed each other’s feet, their vows to one another played over the speakers. Their love spoke volumes – both through their words, and through their actions of the foot washing. It was a heartwarming sight to behold. What a great way to start off a marriage, right?!

Not only is Rachel gorgeous, with her long mermaid hair and her beautiful smile, but she also has the most infectious personality! She is so kind, so loving, and so complimentary with her words! I don’t think I’ve ever received a more flattering inquiry email in my career! So it was no surprise that on her wedding day, she was fawning all over her new husband. Micah is an equally awesome guy, and it’s evident that he cherishes the person that Rachel is – quirks and all! Their day was so full of love and support!
