Be prepared, because Perry and Nate are so dang cute together!! We shot their engagement session at Jordan Pines up Big Cottonwood Canyon, and it was so perfect. I bundled up like a giant marshmallow, but it actually ended up not being too cold! When you’re in the mountains in the winter, you never know what the weather will be like, so I’m always grateful for some warmth! And with warmth comes pretty light through the pine trees!

The snow at Jordan Pines was all compacted down in most places, so we had tons of good spots to explore and have fun. Perry and Nate were a little nervous at first, but it made for the cutest giggles and laughs. They quickly caught on to all my posing cues, and it wasn’t long before they were total pros. These two love birds actually went to high school together, but they didn’t date or really talk at all. Fast forward a few years later, they reconnected, and as of last week they’re now married!

From the first meeting with Perry and her mom, I could tell that Perry was my type of bride! She knew what she wanted and what she didn’t want. She’s a classic beauty, and her eyes and smile light up when she’s around Nate. Nate is a total jokester, and was messing around with Perry by licking her and making funny faces. At the end of the session, I asked them if they wanted anything else, or if they wanted to have a snowball fight. Perry started to respond with “No, I think we’re good…” and all of a sudden Nate grabbed her and tackled her into the snow!! Ha! Perry was such a good sport about it, and it produced some super cute photos! Worth Perry freezing to death afterwards? The jury is still out on that one 😉 haha.
