Oh those beautiful spring blossoms! They provided the most perfect backdrop for Giuliana and Taylor’s engagement session! But first a little backstory on the happy couple…

I first met Giuliana and Taylor over a little dessert date, and it couldn’t have been more fitting! These two and their love story are as sweet as the delicious donuts we ate. Their love story started out with waffles, and you can’t go wrong with waffles! Giuliana and her roommates invited some guys over for “Waffle Wednesday” and Taylor caught sight of Giuliana. Instead of being straightforward and asking for her number, he asked for everyone’s numbers for a future “game night”. However, he only had eyes for Giuliana, and texted her! From that first move, their relationship blossomed with dates to Nickelcade, Escape Rooms, and traveling to California. Falling in love came easy to these two, and there was no doubt a proposal was right around the corner.

I was lucky enough to capture their proposal too! Taylor planned an elaborate scavenger hunt, leading Giuliana to various places throughout the night that had a special meanings to them. Finally, the last clue led her to Utah Lake. Taylor and his family had set up lights and lanterns on the pier. Glowing softly, the lights created a romantic setting that was perfect to ask “Will you marry me?” Of course the answer was YES!

Taylor and Giuliana describe their relationship as committed, exciting, and growing. I love those words! The spring blossoms are a perfect depiction of that – the blossoms are new and exciting, but eventually the petals fall off and the tree continues to grow it’s leaves. Just as the newness of a relationship eventually wears off, you find ways to continually grow together. Throughout our session at the Utah State Capitol, I saw how much there two love to laugh together! Their relationship feels so easy and fun, and I loved capturing that about them! Congratulations you two! One step closer to the wedding, and I can’t wait to capture it next month!!
