I’m so excited to share Madison and Cooper’s beautiful San Diego wedding with you today!! I loved getting to know these two from their engagement and formal sessions, and I couldn’t wait for their wedding! The love birds got married on the cliff side in La Jolla at Cuvier Park. The park provided a stunning view of the San Diego ocean and California coastline! Since it was a destination wedding, only Madison and Cooper’s closest family was present at the intimate ceremony. Well, almost! Before we talk about the ceremony, let’s rewind and talk about all the fun surprises leading up to it!

Madison’s family knows how to do a surprise, and do it right! The first surprise of the day started out with Madison’s best friend, Talia, flying in from Utah. I had Maddie’s wedding dress in my hotel room to photograph. Once I was done photographing the detail shots, I asked Maddie to come in and fluff the dress for a few photos. While she was doing that, Talia walked out of the bedroom and said “Are you ready to get married, Mads?!” Madison’s face when she heard that was absolutely priceless! She was so excited to see her best friend! It was definitely one of the most memorable moments of the day!

The surprises just kept rolling in, from a surprise letter from Madison’s good friend/second mom in Ecuador, to a gift of a lifetime from her father. Just after Madison got into her dress and was putting on her finishing touches of jewelry, her dad Travis walked in with another surprise. He handed her a heartfelt note with a little blue box from Tiffany’s. It was so dang sweet to see her read the note from her dad + gush over the accompanying gift of diamond earrings. Dad of the year, right there!

When all the surprises were over, and Madison was all ready to go, it was time to head to the ceremony site at Cuvier Park! Once there, and the ceremony started, a little hiccup happened as Travis was walking Madison toward the aisle. The wind picked up and blew her veil into the bushes. Luckily it was a quick fix, and the rest of the ceremony went off without a hitch! Madison and Cooper were so ecstatic to finally be husband and wife! We finished up the day with some formals on the cliffs, and then hit up the ice cream truck. Because who doesn’t love ice cream?! 😉

Madison and Cooper’s San Diego wedding was a perfect day from beginning to end. A beautiful couple, in a beautiful place, proclaiming their love for each other — it doesn’t get much better than that! Madison + Cooper, everyone around you can see that you adore each other with your whole hearts. Keep that fire burning, and you two will be able to accomplish so much in your relationship! I cherish the time we have been able to spend together, and I wish you both the best in your future together!
